Patrick Hyundai Rally

It was a beautiful clear Saturday morning when just under 80 union supports showed up at Patrick Hyundai in Schaumburg, to show their support for the technicians that have been locked out since Monday December 10, 2007. The dealer, who has three other Union dealerships (Patrick Cadillac, Saab and Volvo), is no stranger to the Standard Automotive Agreement as they are parties to this Agreement at these facilities.  These technicians at Patrick Hyundai are not asking for anything more than the other technicians in the area currently receive.  All they are asking for is the security of a Union contract which includes guarantees secured by the Union in a contract.

People of all ages came to show  their support!

These technicians at Patrick Hyundai are not asking for anything more than the other technicians in the area and at their other facilities currently receive.

Many people of the community showed their support by stopping by the rally or by  beeping their horns as they drove by the dealership. Some even brought food to the rally in support of the locked out employees.

The sales people at the dealership had plenty of time to wander around with naught to do but smoke, drink coffee, converse & laugh with each other, enjoy the nice spring weather or even take home movies to share with their family!

                                                What's in your pocket?

If the salesmen had time to do this, who was inside answering the phones?

Even the 701 rat enjoyed the beautiful spring weather by welcoming supporters to the rally.

You can't pay for advertising like this!

Patrick Hyundai employed off duty Schaumburg policemen to protect the locked out employees and supporters that came to the rally. Thanks Marty!
