UPDATE: Local 701 Social Club "Concealed & Carry Class"

The social club has organized two (2) "Concealed and Carry" classes for our members and family or friends of members.
The classes will be held at our Union Hall. Classes are scheduled for:
April 1st at
2:30pmApril 15th at 9am
May 6th at 9am
May12th at 9am
June 3rd at 9am
June 23rd at 9am
For this class, the student will receive 2 application packets. One for Utah and one for Florida. In it, a photograph and fingerprint card will have to be submitted.
Both of theses items will be provided at the class and is included in the registration fee. In order to go through this process, you can not have any type of criminal record. There is a very intense back ground check.
The class is set up so that it is all done in one (1) class or day. When you have completed the class, you should only need to write out a check for your permit applications for each state and mail them in.
The class is approximately 5 hours long. There is a four (4) hour class-room portion and a 1 hour handgun portion.
You do not need to have a FOID card to take this class. Fire arms will be provided by the instructor.

The cost of this class is $145.00 and will have to be paid for advance. The class will be open to your friends and family but in order for them to attend you a Local 701 member must attend with them.

Our suggestion is that if you have family or friends that will attend with you, you register as a group. Sending in one envelope with the one check for each participant in your group.
Once the application process and the class is complete, and you have your permit, you can carry a gun in every state except Illinois. We have been told that they are working at changing that, with any luck at all the people of Illinois will soon also be able to carry.
